Elina Economidou is a Clinical Psychologist and an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with additional training in counselling and psychotherapy.
She obtained her Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behaviour Psychotherapy at Canterbury Christ Church University in Kent (Salomons) after completing her Postgraduate training in the theory and practice of Psychodynamic Counselling & Psychotherapy in Highgate Counselling Centre, London. She is also trained in Humanistic, Schema Focused and Compassion Based Treatments and holds a Masters Degree in Child & Adolescent Mental Health awarded by the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London University.
Elina practices fluently in both English and Greek, and she is an accredited member of the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP) and a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
She developed her working experience and clinical skills in variety of settings, including the Central and North West NHS Foundation Trust London, providing therapy services to patients with mild to severe psychological difficulties, referred to their National Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Team (IAPT service), the Institute of Psychiatry (King’s College London), the Michael Rutter Centre of Maudsley Hospital (London), the Eginition Hospital in Psychotherapy, Research and Education Units (Athens, Greece) and the Youth and Lifelong Learning Foundation – Second Chance School of Athens (INEDIVIM) providing psychological support and counselling to school education staff, adult students and parents of children with adjustment difficulties.
